All you have to do is start a thread on this board with a subject line containing the word you're looking for another way to say. For example, I might be looking for another way to say the word "spooked," so I'll post here and hope someone will reply to help me out.
Posting a bit more in the message body is highly encouraged. At the least, additional context and/or a preemptive bit of thanks can go a long way toward motivating folks to help you out!
This forum is designed to work in a very simple way until we build a bigger and more established/original website. Basically, it's a corner of the Web where we can help each other find other ways to say not just words but phrases too.
Please try to help add other ways to say things for any threads to which you feel inspired to contribute by leaving a simple reply with one or more suggestions. I'll certainly answer threads whenever I can, but it's a safe bet that it'll prove to be rewarding for anyone taking part.
Cheers,
-Tim, AWTS

At risk of looking daft responding to my own post, here's a good example of a reply with suggestions for other ways to say the requested phrase:* Hi there! Maybe one of these could work?: - Scared
- Creeped out
- Weirded out
- Left trembling
- Disturbed
The surrounding phrasing may have to be adjusted to fit some of these, but I hope one of them will float your boat. Take care, -Tim, AWTS
