Before we set up the forum, a recent visitor emailed us to ask for another way to say "in charge of." If the forum was in existence at the time, all she would have had to do is post a thread here with the phrase in the subject line.
Posting a bit more in the message body is highly encouraged. At the least, additional context and/or a preemptive bit of thanks can go a long way toward motivating folks to help you out!
This forum is designed to work in a very simple way until we build a bigger and more established/original website. Basically, it's a corner of the Web where we can help each other find other ways to say not just words but phrases too.
Please try to help add other ways to say things for any threads to which you feel inspired to contribute by leaving a simple reply with one or more suggestions. I'll certainly answer threads whenever I can, but it's a safe bet that it'll prove to be rewarding for anyone taking part.
Cheers,
-Tim, AWTS

At risk of looking daft responding to my own post, here's a good example of a reply with suggestions for other ways to say the requested phrase:
* Hi there! Maybe one of these could work?: - In command of
- Spearheading (or "spearheaded by," depending on context)
- Leading (or "led by")
- At the helm
The surrounding phrasing may have to be adjusted to fit some of these, but I hope one of them will float your boat. Take care, -Tim, AWTS

What is another wat to say this phrase: For this study, a quantitative quasi-experimental research design will be used. A quasi-experimental research design is used to determine quasi-cause and effect, meaning the dependent variable may vary as a result of the independent variables. Quantitative designs are used to support theory and are considered to be a deductive reasoning technique while qualitative studies are inductive by nature. Deductive reasoning arrives at a specific conclusion based on generalizations while inductive reasoning takes events and makes generalizations (Sternberg, 2009). Given that the hypotheses were generated from theory, a deductive or quantitative approach is appropriate for this study.

I'm afraid topic-specific technical language presents some roadblocks because there aren't as many synonyms in such cases.
